Jakarta, 17 May 2017 –Commissioners of Fortune Group, all the heads of Fortune Group business units, and the invitees. The General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) of Fortune Group this year has resulted in the change in the composition of the Board of Commissioners and the Board of Directors. Satrio Tjai was appointed as the President Commissioner to replace Indra Abidin and Yazirwan Uyun was appointed as Independent Commissioner replacing Muljadi Sulaeman. This year’s GMS also approved the resignation of Darjoto Setyawan who previously served as Commissioner. In the Board of Directors, the GMS appointed MD Menuk Sudaryanti as Director and John G Sebayang as Independent Director.
“With the new Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors, we must be more optimistic to strengthen the operational side to boost Fortune Group’s performance growth in 2017,” concluded Aris Boediharjo, the Managing Director of Fortune Group. In 2016, FORU recorded overall revenue of Rp354.2 billion. The advertising services segment as the main contributor to FORU’s revenue registered a decline by 19.73% from Rp405.64 billion in 2015 to Rp327.23 billion in 2016. However, Graphic Design and Exhibition in the Advertising Services segment managed to record significant performance growth which increases by 174.36% from Rp6.17 billion in 2015 to Rp16.94 billion in 2016. Digital media services also continued to show significant growth by posting a 32.90% achievement of Rp21.02 billion from Rp15.82 billion in 2015. The Public Relations (PR) segment also posted an 11.11% growth of Rp26.97 billion from Rp24.27 billion in 2015.
Despite the correction in business achievement in 2016, Fortune Group’s Board of Directors is optimistic to record an increase in revenue by 2017. It was delivered by Menuk Sudaryanti, as the new Director of Fortune Group, at the public meeting that was held after the GMS. Menuk expressed her confidence that Fortune will achieve a 22% increase in revenue from that in 2016 and the profit before tax is expected to grow by 200% by 2017.
