Thank You, Finally I Can See My Grandchildren

Fortune Helps the Cataracts Patients in The Bogor Cataract Surgery Project
Indonesia has long been recorded as the fourth country with the highest number of population in the world with the total population of 240 million. In contrast to this fantastic number, not so many people know that most of them live in rural areas and have no access to health services.
Therefore, Fortune Group takes part in a noble step to provide helps for the poor who have limited access to medical services. Fortune is one of the contributors in The Bogor Cataract Surgery Project, a free cataract surgery for the poor. A one-day cataracts surgery was carried out at the Klinik Mata Yayasan Dr. Hasri Ainun Habibie, Bogor, on November 16, 2012. From the total of 25 patients who came from Bogor and its surrounding area most of them are the elderly.
One of them is Ngadiman. Because of cataracts, this 78-years old man had never seen the faces of his grandchildren. After the surgery, Ngadiman was picked up by his family. That is the moment when Ngadiman is able to see the faces of his two grandchildren for the first time. While crying, Ngadiman thanked the organizers for helping him to be able to see again.
Cataract is a type of damage in the eye that causes the lenses to become webbed and myopic. The Bogor Cataract Surgery Project is collaboration between the Rotary Club Queenstown Singapura and the Rotary Club Bogor Indonesia, an international service club that aims to bring the businessmen and professional leaders to provide community services. After the surgery, the patient is then able to smoothly undergo their daily activities and to see the beauty of the world again.
Many citizens are hoping that this free cataract surgery could be held again. The organizers also agreed that similar activities will continue to be implemented in order to help more people as there are a growing number of contributors.
Anyone can participate as a donor in this project. There are five donor categories according to the nominal of the funds, the Supporter (150 SGD or about 1.2 million rupiahs), Benefactor (300 SGD or about 2.4 million rupiah for eye surgery), Enlighter (600 SGD or about 4.8 million rupiah for a pair of eye surgery), Angel (1000 SGD 7.9 million or equivalent), as well as the Saint for donations above USD 1000.
