Mochamad Andryansyah Nofiana (Associate Creative Director) and Sekar Aprilia (Copywriter) in the visit of Sebelas Maret University Students to Fortune Indonesia

On Wednesday, October 18, 2017, dozens of students of Sebelas Maret University Surakarta visited Fortune Indonesia to explore and gain knowledge about the advertising practices directly from the practitioners at Fortune Indonesia. Andry and Sekar presented the students with specific materials about Copy Writing.

Sekar and Andry started the session by explaining the general description of Copy Writing. Next, they both explained thoroughly about the components of Copy Writing such as Headline, Sub Headline, Tagline, and Body Copy along with the examples.

Sekar explained that a good headline should be able to attract the reader’s attention; it must be bold, unique, and playful when the visual is plain or very simple when the visual is unique so they won’t interfere with each other, and it should be able to direct the reader to read the body copy. “Here comes the challenge. The fact is that only 20% of ad readers read the body copy that happens to contain all important information about the product,” said Sekar.

Sekar and Andry then explained briefly about the technical matters of copy writing on television commercials, radio, and digital ads. The meeting was then followed by the questions & answers session and ended with the photo session of the representatives of the University and Fortune Indonesia presenting the tokens.
