WEEKEND CHECKLIST
Thomas Franky, Senior Associate Director of Fortune PR
I love to have a culinary tour on holidays, including weekends. Various cafes, bistros and restaurants serving a variety of foods in Jakarta have been my choice of eateries. For meals, I love to go to Meat Me, Cafe Cups, Tee Box Cafe, Yaudah Bistro, and Bogor Cafe that serve steaks, rib soup, and oxtail soup at a price below 100 thousand rupiah. As for snacks, I like to go to Union in Plaza Senayan, Kitchenette, or Local Taco serving a variety of breads, cakes, and other snacks. If I want to hang out over a cup of coffee, I usually go to Liberica and The Chorus in Kemang, South Jakarta. Bali is also a destination of my culinary tour that I can enjoy while seeing the sunset. Seminyak area is my favorite choice because I can hang out in La Planca, Potato Head, and Double U. In my opinion, a culinary tour is not only about the portion, but the taste of the food served.

Every weekend I often hang out with friends or family at different cafes. But there are three places that I regularly visit. First, I like to visit Parc 19 because I think it has a comfortable atmosphere to hang out for long. Besides, the foods there are good, such as pasta. Second, FJ Club 7, the atmosphere is more comfortable because it is located on the rooftop so that we can see sunset in the evening. Each place is unique. Parc 19 and FJ Club 7 are both located on Jalan Kemang Raya, South Jakarta, and both places are open until midnight. And the third is Warung Nagih located on Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta. I go there very often because the snacks are tasty and affordable. They serve toasts with lots of yummy jam choices. There are also other snack menus.
