Celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, FORU held a Christmas celebration on January 6, 2014 at Agus Salim room in Gedung Galaktika. More than 20 Christian Fortuners enthusiastically participated in the event that served as a moment to pray together as well as to foster unity and strengthen family ties among the Fortuners.

 This annual event took the theme “Come, O Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9: 1-6), with the sub- theme “The true light that enlightens everyone is coming into the world” (John 1: 9). The event was opened by a solemn prayers and the song Dia Sungguh Indah (He is So Wonderful) accompanied by a melodious music. Then, the liturgy exalting the might of the Creator of the Universe was read alternately by the entire congregation. It was followed by recognition and resignation that were also sung along with the music. After that, they started having reflection on God’s Words and listening to a Christmas sermon delivered by Romo Suhardi Antara, Pr.

 On this occasion, Romo (Pastor) reminded the entire congregation to realize the existence of Christmas peace, and he encouraged people of Christ to convey and implement the message of peace. “For instance, we give a positive contribution to the environment, family, and the community,” said Romo. After reciting the sermon, the pastor lit a large candle and shared the candle flame with the present FORU leaders. As the epitome of togetherness, the company leaders passed the flame to the whole congregation as the song Silent Night was sung.

 FORU Director, Muljadi Sulaeman, closed the whole event by saying the prayers of intercession for the unity of the churches, the country, the company and the management, and the whole group. Meanwhile, FORU Main Director, Indra Abidin, attended the event to deliver a message to all Fortuners. Indra advised Fortuners to work more creatively and efficiently in helping clients because competition demanded such quality and Fortune’s success relies on all Fortuners. Life today requires us to be able to manage any pressure coming both physically and mentally.

 “In 2014, Fortune should be able to achieve the previous success. Never give up on the situation, try to win the situation and sincerely accept whatever results obtained. Merry Christmas to Christian Fortuners and Happy New Year to all Fortuners. Hopefully, this year will give a lot of progress for all of us and also for Fortune,” said Indra.
