Eight Years of Working with High School Spirit Farewell to Charlie Aziz at Fortune Indonesia Meeting Week52

SONY DSCWeekly coordination meeting or the team weekly meeting is a definite schedule. However, not many know that Fortune Indonesia has a tradition of an interesting weekly meeting in every year-end. It is called Meeting Week52. It is so called because it was held during the last week of each year and is filled with thanksgiving for the achievement during the year as well as discussion on the final report, evaluation, and the achieved target.

Meeting Week52 in 2013 was held on December 30, in Agus Salim room, Gedung Galaktika. The meeting was attended by Muljadi Sulaeman (Director of FORU), Aris Budihardjo (CEO of Fortune Indonesia), and the entire management team of Fortune Indonesia. “Thank you for the hard work of all Fortuners. As long as the spirit for achievement continues to exist, Fortune still has hopes to continue performing in the future. This is the most important,” said Muljadi.

Muljadi also said 2014 will be a challenging moment and opportunity for it is a phase when the leadership of the country is changing. As a communications company, Fortune will still be needed. “Let’s make the year 2014 an opportunity to run faster. For the young people, keep performing well because you all have a lot of opportunities. Together with you all, we believe Fortune will exist until a hundred years in the future,” he said.

That Meeting Week52 felt more special because it also became a moment for Charlie Aziz, the Managing Director of Plan B team, to bid farewell to all colleagues at Fortune Indonesia. “What has not been achieved in the year 2013 should be reached in 2014. Therefore, let us work harder and smarter. This meeting is also a moment to support and pray for Mr. Charlie’s plans for the future as well as a gratitude from us all,” said Aris before a video presented by FORU showed glimpses of  Charlie’s photos in many occasions.

Responding to the excitement of the support provided, Charlie expressed his thankfulness. “Over the past eight years working at Fortune, I consider the work here as not only professional work, but also personal. In Fortune, I feel like going back to high school age. If I didn’t come even only for one day, I would regret it because I would miss a lot of stories,” said Charlie. “There are no better words for Fortune and all friends but thank you very much. Let’s support and pray for one another, especially for the smooth implementation of Fortune’s plan ahead,” said Charlie greeted by the applause of all the coming Fortuners.
