Remove the impression that batik is always formal. The formal impression puts a curb on how we wear batik. Batik should be able to wear by anyone, anywhere, and at anytime. In Jogja, I have ever seen some teenagers playing music in a band and performing in batik jackets. Wow, it was so cool. You can stay up to date and young yet you still cherish this country’s heritage.

‘Must-Wear Batik’ Day 

There must be one day in a week when all offices require the employees to wear batik. Friday is so far chosen to be the opportunity to wear batik, but it has not been applied in all institution. If everybody would wear batik on that day, it would be splendid. Gradually, the feeling of love and the sense of belonging will grow.

Mix and Match

I usually like to mix and match batik with other clothing to make it a casual outfit. For example, I match batik as the top with a pair of jeans, or it can also be worn as outer, vest, or skirt. Moreover, batik motifs and models are now very varied. So, it doesn’t look old. It’s good to wear anywhere. I even often wear batik to go strolling and hang out.
