Saving 50 Thousand of Fund, Getting 50 Million of Loan

The Many Benefits of Becoming a Member of FORU Cooperative

Various programs are developed by the company to ensure the welfare of Fortuners (employees). One of them is a cooperative. Since its inception in 2003, this internal organization continues to experience significant growth. Most Fortuners are familiar with the cooperative, except for those who recently joined the big family of FORU. In fact, there are many advantages to be gained if Fortuners utilize the services of the cooperative.  What are they?

One of them is the chance to borrow cash up to five times the monthly salary for members! “FORU Cooperative indeed has increased revenue, so it is possible for members to borrow cash up to fifty million rupiah. But, it must be adjusted with income, tenure, Fortuners’ grade level, and of course the financial condition of the cooperative when borrowing, “said Ucu Julaeha, Accounts Receivable who doubles as treasurer of FORU Cooperative.

Ucu also explained loan priority is given to Fortuners who need funding for tuition fees, house rent or renovation, as well as medical treatment. For permanent Fortuners, the maximum loan is 50 million rupiah, with the maximum repayment period of 3 years and administrative service of 1 percent per month. As for the contract Fortuners, 30 million rupiah is the maximum loan, with repayment period adjusted to the time period of the contract.

Fortuners who wish to perform the pilgrimage to the Holy Land but not yet have sufficient fund also do not need to worry.  FORU Cooperative also provides funding for religious activities, i.e. umroh program and Holyland program to Jerusalem. Through these two programs, Fortuners can apply for loans up to 15 million rupiah per person! “The repayment period is 24 months and the administrative service is 0.5 percent per month,” said Ucu.

The whole loan application process, Ucu continued, is a maximum of two weeks.  Loan application must also be approved by the business unit head, the Human Capital Development (HCD) head, and the cooperative chairman. If the first loan is not paid off, then a Fortuner is not allowed to apply for another loan. “Since we are sometimes overwhelmed in serving Fortuners’ loan request, then the cooperative board also set the First In First Serve policy. So the one who files the request first will be served earlier,” explained Ucu.

The repayment of the loan is done in installments. What is special is that the monthly installment amount will be adjusted by an agreement between the cooperative and the debtor in the beginning! “It will automatically deduct monthly salary. So, it is not burdensome at all. There have been many children of Fortuners who graduated college because of the support of this program, “said Ucu.
The program is an answer to the needs of Fortuners to borrow money from the company. Indeed, the initial concept of the establishment of FORU Cooperative was to accommodate the needs of Fortuners who require financial assistance.

Then, what are the requirements to apply for a loan?

Ucu JulaehaIt’s easy, that is by being a member of FORU Cooperative for at least three months. To join the cooperative, Fortuners simply need to sign up the membership by paying the principal savings of 100 thousand rupiahs and voluntary savings of at least 50 thousand rupiah per month deducted from the salary. Up to now, a total of 125 Fortuners are registered as members of the cooperative.

In addition to cash lending program, FORU Cooperative also provides motorcycle loan. This program is the cooperation with one of FORU’s clients, namely Honda. This program is very special because every Fortuner can enjoy special discount that is not given on a regular basis. For Fortuners who wish to grab this golden opportunity, the loan procedure is the same as cash loan.

Another advantage to be the member of FORU Cooperative is of course to obtain some share of net income (SHU), in accordance with the current cooperative profit. Well, for Fortuners who are interested in a variety of cooperative programs or would like to inquire further about the cooperative, please contact Ucu at ext. 213. “FORU Cooperative principle is to solve a problem without creating other problems. So, Fortuners should not hesitate to ask about the cooperative,” Ucu concluded.
