Fortune Indonesia Scholarship: Education is the Key

Plays its role in promoting education by providing a scholarship program for children of PT Fortune Indonesia Tbk. employees who excel in the academic field. Annisa Ananda Putri (4th grade) daughter of Anshori, M. Rizki Andika (4th grade) son of Sumaryono Eko, Inas Fauzia (9th grade) daughter of Mustarie, and Anita Hetri Pratiwi (9th grade) daughter of Samin, are the 4 (four) children who has the highest academic average score who received the scholarship. Previously, the scholarship recipients should have passed the selection done by Corporate Communications team as the program implementer of Fortune Scholarship 2012. The criteria set by the committee are namely, elementary students grades 4-6, junior high students, and high school students with a minimum average academic score of 7.5. The procedure for this scholarship is very simple. In order to be selected by the committee, any employees who wish to participate must submit a copy of a report card of the last 2 (two) last semesters that have been legalized by the school.
The Impression of Scholarship Recipients
One by one, the parents of scholarship recipients happily shares their story. “Alhamdulillah. I am very pleased to know that the number of Fortune scholarships has increased,” said Sumaryono, driver of Fortune Indonesia. It has already been the third time for M. Rizki Andika, son of Sumaryono, to receive Fortune Indonesia scholarship. Just like Andika, Inas Fauzia, daughter of Mustarie, has also received the scholarship for the third time. “I continue to motivate Inas to maintain her performance,” said the production staff of Fortune Adwicipta. Regarding the scholarship, each recipient has spent it for different reasons. Sumaryono has used the scholarship from Fortune Indonesia to buy computers, so that Andika could use the computer for future needs. While Mustarie, father of Inas Fauzia, has used scholarship to buy uniforms and textbooks. Some of the recipients are not required to pay tuition fees because it is free, but for others, they use the scholarship to pay the tuition. “The money is used to fully pay Anissa’s school fee. The rest is used to buy table and tutoring fee,” said Anshori, messenger of Fortune Adwicipta, father of Annisa Ananda Putri. Just like Anshori, Samin, production staff of Fortune Adwicipta, has used the scholarship for Anita’s high school entrance fee and her 1-year school fee. Fortune Scholarships has been such a blessing for Anshori as the timing and the amount of the scholarships given fits perfectly with the school’s fee payment period.

The Expectation of Fortune Scholarships
Indra Abidin, President Director of PT Fortune Indonesia Tbk., shared his hopes regarding Fortune scholarship program. “We recognize that education is a requirement for individual to become a leader, to become useful citizens, then, education is the key,” said Indra Abidin at his office. He held a great expectation for the scholarship recipients that, in the future, they will be a successful person, has a noble personality, and are able to help people who are in need in their surroundings. “After all, the purpose of our lives is how we can benefit the community where we live,” said Indra Abidin.
