SCG has initiated an annual scholarship program called SCG Sharing the Dream since 2012 which intends to support students in the country for a higher education. SCG Sharing the Dream is a form of SCG’s commitment to creating a better life for the community surrounding the company’s operating area.
This year, with the support of Fortune PR as a partner, SCG expanded its support by increasing the number of scholarships to 400 high school students across Jakarta, Bogor, Cileungsi, Karawang, South Tangerang, Sukabumi, and Bayah. The program has received good response from the schools and has more than 1,200 applicants so far. In collaboration with the Ancora Foundation for 6 years, SCG Sharing the Dream has launched a ‘Home Visit’ program, a unique selection process for student applicants, in which SCG employees along with Ancora volunteers participate directly to visit the homes and the families of the scholarship applicants.
