The lively atmosphere was seen in Cilandak Timur subdistrict office on Sunday morning, April 26, 2015. Dozens of students of Sanggar Fortune Nursery School looked excited and cheerful to celebrate Kartini Day by wearing some costumes. Not just any costumes, the costumes they wore that day were made from recycled materials as their extraordinary creations assisted by the parents. Some children wore skirts made of plastic piles, pants of paper, bags of milk cartons, crowns of coffee plastic bags, hats of newspaper, necklaces of straws. There even were children whose whole costumes were made from plastic rope. Very creative! Then they showcased the costumes in the fashion show.

Besides the fashion show competition, a series of activities titled “Love for Ibu Kartini from Sanggar Fortune” was also enlivened by a healthy homemade food contest and healthy food bazaar with hygiene and nutritional content as the main assessment. It is intended to educate as well as spur the motivation of parents to always provide the best nutritional food intake to their children who are in their golden age period.The event was attended by all students and teachers of Sanggar Fortune Nursery School 1-6, Edi Margono (headman of Cilandak Timur), and Hany Nurahmawati (Marketing Communications Manager of Fortune Indonesia). The celebration became a moment to remind the children of what the heroes had done especially Ibu Kartini who has brought many changes for Indonesian women.
