FORU Leadership Relay: FORU AGM Decided on the Amendment of Commissioners and Directors Board
PT Fortune Indonesia Tbk (IDX: FORU) held a General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) on June 10, 2015 in Grand Willow Room of Royal Kuningan Hotel, South Jakarta. Unusually, in addition to the Annual General Meeting, this time FORU also conducted the Extraordinary General Meeting. FORU Extraordinary General Meeting decided to relay the leadership by promoting Aris Boediharjo as Managing Director, Indira Abidin as Director cum Corporate Secretary and Yuliana Leonarda as Finance Director. While the new Board of Commissioners of FORU consists of Indra Abidin as Main Commissioner, Darjoto Setyawan as Commissioner, and Sebastianus Harry Wiguna as Independent Commissioner.
Throughout FORU’s history, this is the first relay of leadership since FORU leadership was entrusted to Indra Abidin, 37 years ago. “We have prepared this relay of leadership since the last fourteen years. We believe that the new leaders can keep FORU leading the industry to provide greater significance to the country’s development and to get a better place in society,” said Indra Abidin.
FORU Annual General Meeting also decided that this year FORU will not distribute dividends to shareholders. Muljadi Sulaiman explained that 15% of comprehensive income will be allocated to the installment of the company’s reserve fund and the remainder serves as retained earnings for the company’s working capital.
In 2014, FORU successfully booked revenue of IDR 404.3 billion and Comprehensive Income of IDR 3.9 billion. Despite the decline of 1.3% of revenue in 2013, Advertising Services remained to be the main contributor to overall FORU revenue which was amounted to IDR 368,81 billion. Following advertising services is PR Services with revenues of IDR 25,93 billion, an increase of 18.6% compared to the previous year. And in third place is Graphic Design Services with total revenues of IDR 9,59 billion, declining by 19% over the previous year. FORU is targeting that each business segment will grow by 10% by 2015.
Throughout 2014 FORU also managed to build a positive image by winning 13 prestigious awards, two of which were won with Fortune PR at the event SABRE Awards, on September 18, 2014, as Asia Pacific’s Best Corporate Social Responsibility Campaign of the Year with the client Kaercher Indonesia and as the Asia Pacific’s Best Public Education Campaign of the Year with the client PT Tupperware Indonesia. With Fortune Indonesia, FORU also made it to grab 11 awards from linked-in, Indonesian Business Record (ReBi), Pinasthika and, at the top of all, FORU was listed as the Top 5 Advertising Agency of the Year in 2014 for winning a gold trophy and three silver trophies in Citra Pariwara Advertising Festival held on November 28, 2014.
With the regeneration of the leadership as well as being part of PT Rajawali Corpora through PT Karya Citra Prima, FORU is expected to become stronger, more advanced and keep developing as a global communications network that excels through stronger capital and qualified Indonesian human resources at world level.
