After the success of the first stage of Nursery School Teachers and Parents Enrichment Program, Sanggar Fortune in cooperation with Komunitas Rumah Pencerah (KRP) continued the enrichment program for the second stage. This time the participants came from nursery schools located in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.

The program took place every Thursday for six consecutive weeks. The enrichment program was attended by 60 teachers and 65 parents. The materials delivered include how to understand oneself, self motivation, how to plan a lesson. The program was designed in a workshop so that participants were required to participate actively. The presenters were practitioners and activists of early childhood education and parenting.

“Programs like this should be done regularly because teacher’s role is very important for the intelligence of the nation,” said Miranty Abidin in her speech. The second stage of the enrichment program is part of the pilot project of enrichment module for nursery school teachers and parents that have been composed by Sanggar Fortune and KRP. After the second stage of the enrichment program was over, Sanggar Fortune and KRP planned to establish cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Culture at the launch of the module and the execution of the enrichment program throughout Indonesia.

In addition, Sanggar Fortune and KRP also plan to hold training for trainers so that presenters can duplicate themselves in conducting the parallel trainings so as to reach more areas in Indonesia more quickly.
