Behind the working hustle and bustle of Fortuners are queues of people hunting for ta’jil, or fast-breaking snacks, on the second floor of Gedung Galaktika that often turn out to be an interesting sight during the fasting month. Since nearly fifteen years ago, every day during the month of Ramadan, Fortune Indonesia together with various divisions have taken turns to provide ta’jil for Fortuners who are fasting. Fortuners hunt for various typical Ramadan ta’jil and drinks ranging from fried foods, es buah, kolak, to bubur kacang hijau before fast-breaking.
Yulistya Armelia, Account Executive Fortune Indonesia, admitted that she had joined in hunting ta’jil since the first day of Ramadan, “Almost every day I break the fast at the office, I happen to have a lot of work, so I always go home after fast-breaking. What makes it lively is the moment when people are scrambling for ta’jil. It is exciting!”
“The purpose of sharing ta’jil and drinks is to build kinship and togetherness of Fortuners. So, for those who could not do Maghrib prayer at home, are able to feel the nuance of family at the office,” said Undagi Rusdi as GA Manager Fortune Indonesia. In addition to sharing ta’jil and drinks to Fortuners, Fortune Indonesia also held a Fast-Breaking Together on July 3, 2015.
