My Super Power Plan, the Power to Pursue Dreams Together
The result of 200 meta-analysis conducted on 275,000 people around the world shows that happiness is able to direct someone to success in almost every life domain, including work performance, health, longevity, sociability, creativity, and energy. (Positive Psychology by Sonja Lyubomirsky, Laura King, and Ed Diener)
With that as the underlying idea, Fortune PR realizes how important it is to foster and maintain the feeling of happiness of Fortuners in the work environment. Therefore, this year Fortune PR carries the theme of FUNCATION which stands for Fun AND Vacation at Workplace. Through the implementation of FUNCATION, Fortune PR is expected to be a workplace that provides pleasure, happiness, and pride for all Fortuners. It looks to make people work as if they were on vacation and assume their job as a fun trip to gain experience, self-actualization, and dreams.
It was FUNCATION that finally brought a happy and cheerful nuance on the implementation of Fortune PR Quarterly Meeting held on Monday, May 11, 2015. Located at Indra Abidin’s residence, at the Quarterly Meeting this time Fortuners were required to wear costumes of their favorite superheroes. Some are dressed as Gatot Kaca, Superman, Ninja, Rambo, Chun Li, Dumbledore, etc. The meeting quickly became boisterous and full of laughter.
“Although the discussion of this Quarterly Meeting was very serious, i.e. evaluation and strategies for achieving the target for the year, we tried to package it in a fun way so that Fortuners would be spirited and optimistic to achieve the targets together,” said Arbania Fitriani as HCD Senior Manager of Fortune PR.
The Quarterly Meeting was opened with the presentation of Ati Muziati Muchtar, Managing Director of Fortune PR, on the evaluation of the target achievement in the first quarter. The meeting was then continued with the distribution of manual books of regulations that contain the rules of the company, manual books of business values that contain the corporate culture, and the book My Super Power Plan.
The book My Super Power Plan presents several questions to be answered by Fortuners such as the strength they have, things they want to achieve with these strengths, the business unit’s vision, the importance of business vision for themselves, for Fortune PR, for clients, and for Indonesia as a whole, the self- achievement obtained if they help realize the vision of the business units, and what needs to be improved to achieve this vision.
“Every one of us actually has a super power in ourselves. Unfortunately, we are often lacking of confidence and are not aware of the existence of the super power. So starting today, let’s wake ourselves up and realize that I am a super hero and I have a great super power,” said Indira Abidin, Chief of Happiness Fortune PR when briefing Fortuners before they filled out My Super Power Plan.
After completing My Super Power Plan, Fortuners then discussed it with their respective business unit colleagues. This was when they needed to transform the personal dream into a collective dream, for the betterment of the business units as well as Fortune PR. The results of the discussions should be presented in the form of concrete steps that must be taken.
At the end of the meeting, HCD team announced the five winning Fortuners who wore the best costume, namely Wendra Handaruadhi, Muhammad Surajie, Elly Refnal, Yudho Ertanto, and Astri Anna. And the business units that gave the best presentation were the teams FTECH, DIBE, and Mocca. The whole meeting was concluded with a birthday celebration of Fortuners who were born in January-March and then they prayed together.
“It’s the first time for me to participate in the Quarterly Meeting of Fortune PR. It was really fun and exciting. I learned many important values. I also feel glad to be one of the best costume winners, while I actually did it just for fun and just wanted to look different. I took the materials from what I have and I did not spend any cost on it,” said Muhammad Surajie, Account Executive Mocca, laughingly when asked about his impression of joining this quarterly meeting.
