FORU Strengthens Bonds of Friendship with Sanggar Fortune
Sanggar Fortune hosted an event to strengthen bonds of friendship with nursery school teachers on August 14, 2014. The event held at Gedung Galaktika was attended by four nursery schools, some of which were still fostered by Sanggar Fortune and the others have been independent. This event aims to establish a more intimate relationship and at the same time foster the spirit to continue to promote the nursery schools fostered by Sanggar Fortune.
The event began with the welcoming speech of FORU Corporate Secretary, Indira Abidin. Indira expressed her admiration for the nursery teachers and their support for the event like this. According to Indira, such event could increase the teachers’ knowledge in educating early age children.
“We can share our knowledge here, because sharing knowledge will make us rich. And we certainly want everything to progress, there should be improvement at all nursery schools in the future, “said Indira.
Furthermore, Miranty Abidin as FORU Commissioner gave full support for nursery schools that have been established. She said that the nursery schools are expected to generate outstanding generations in the future.
The sharing of knowledge began with Rosalina Sinaga, as the person in charge of Sanggar Fortune 4. Rosalina told inspiring stories from the nursery school she founded. One story was of a student who came from lower class economy, a scavenger’s child, but had a fighting spirit to achieve higher education, some even got remarkable achievements.
“Indonesia needs strong and kind hearted women like the nursery teachers here. I hope that we’ll never give up in developing the schools and teaching the students, “said Rosalina.
The sharing session was continued by Adiyati, Rosalina’s colleague. Adiyati who is a university lecturer confirmed the importance of a nursery school and parental involvement in educating early age children. Adiyati said it is important for nursery teachers to invite parents to participate in educating students by applying the parenting concept at home.
“Everything taught in the nursery schools might later be in vain if it is not integrated with good education from parents,” he said.
