A prestigious award is again won by Chief Happiness Officer of Fortune PR Indira Abidin. The title of Indonesian Wonder Woman 2014 was presented to Indira Abidin by Vocational Program of University of Indonesia (UI) on Tuesday, May 20, 2014. The title was awarded for Indira’s dedication in developing and advancing public relations and communication science in Indonesia.

A certificate of appreciation was given by UI Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Anis, M.Met and UI Vocational Program Chair Prof. Dr. Ir. Sigit Hadiwardoyo, DEA. Indira Abidin’s name was called fourth. Indira gladly received the award

She said the award was earned by hard work. Although she is diagnosed as having breast cancer, she does not necessarily give up. She continues to be devoted to her profession and develops her competence in public relations and communication science. Indira participates in various seminars, trainings and discussions. She often becomes a speaker and provides training on the science of public relations in many colleges in Indonesia.

“I dedicate this title to the world of communication, especially public relations in Indonesia,” said Indira after receiving the award at floating hall of UI, Depok, West Java.

She became one of the 14 other women who received the award such as Indonesian Health Minister, Nafsiah Mboi, and Mien Uno as an educator and activist of young people’s etiquette and personal development. Indira and the 14 women were considered to be devoted to their respective profession. Their dedication then gave benefits to their profession in local, national, and global business.

The inaugural award held by vocational program of UI is expected to motivate not only the recipients, but also the younger generation. Because the original purpose of convening this award is to align the students’ competence with their future professions.

“Hopefully this award will encourage Indonesian women to keep thriving and performing well in their professions so they can motivate young people to take their professions seriously,” said Prof. Dr. Ir. Sigit Pranowo Hadiwardoyo, DEA.
