Exercising in the midst of the intensiveness of working routines is acclaimed to be able to boost working spirit. After facing the bustle of work, the brain needs a refresher. Playing badminton can be an alternative of temporary boredom diversion. More or less, it is also regularly done by Fortuners who are members of the Badminton Association of Fortune or commonly abbreviated PB Fortune.Yes, besides futsal club (Fortune Futsal Community / Kosaltun) and basketball (Fortune Basketball Community / Kobatun) for Fortuners, Fortune Group also has a club for badminton lovers. Starting with

the agreement to establish a badminton community among Fortuners, Fortune PB was formed in 1990.Chaired by Karnadi, Audio Visual Supervisor of Fortune Indonesia, the badminton club has been active since 1995. “The exact date of the establishment is not recorded. Apparently, the establishment of PB Fortune was set out from the agreement of a number of Fortuners to make badminton club together,” Adi explained.

PB Fortune is scheduled to have training once a week, every Thursday night at Ragunan Sports Centre. Usually, the exercise starts around 20:00 pm and finishes at 22:00 pm. Until today, the number of active members is not less than that in other sport clubs. Which is about 15 people. “When it is crowded, the participants can reach to 25 members,” said Adi.

Besides exercising together, PB Fortune also often has sparring match with other agencies or badminton community practicing at Ragunan. PB Fortune also regularly contributes an annual event for Fortuners, namely communal badminton championship to celebrate Independence Day. “In recent years the event was not held due to the fasting month,” said Adi.

In order to make it more unified and encouraged to exercise, PB Fortune that is the oldest sport club in Fortune has its own uniform for exercise. Maroon Polo shirt with black collar and written PB Fortune on the back. “This uniform unifies the spirit of the members, as well as the motivation to exercise more
actively,” explained Adi.

Adi also expects Fortuners who are fond of badminton to join the community having white shuttle cock as its logo. “Come on Fortuners, let’s play badminton together. We mingle, have fun together,” closed Adi. Corporate Legal Manager Nurfurqan, one of PB Fortune members, wishes in the future there will be competition among brand teams in Fortune so that everyone can mingle. “The moment is not necessarily on the Independence Day, considering it has been the last 4 years that the Independence Day coincided the fasting month of Ramadan. So, let’s make it on the other moment such as Fortune’s anniversary,” said Furqan. “For those who have not joined yet, come on join. When we are having apractice, besides having fun play, we are also having fun sharing. So there is no gap at all,” he said.

Senior Graphic Designer of Anythink Fortune Indonesia Sudigdo agreed with Furqan. “After playing badminton, we must be directly full of spirit. It really helps, even more if we exercise regularly. As for now, I wish there is somebody who reminds us of the exercise schedule, so that more people will join,” Digdo ended.
