\n\"\"<\/a>The red crayon was in the tiny grip of a small boy. On paper where an airplane had been previously drawn, this coloring tool danced itself. When there is no more white part left on the airplane\u2019s body, he returned the red crayon to the coloring box. As he looked into the row of crayons, the boy seemed to ponder a moment. Then, he took the blue and yellow crayons to color the windows of the plane.
\nAhmad Raihan Syah is his name. After he completed coloring the picture of an airplane, the 4-year-old boy asked another paper with a train drawn on it. “He loves coloring, especially if the picture is Power Rangers. And the result is always neat, although he has never been taught before,” said Heriyati, the mother of the boy who is fondly called Raihan.
\nIn that particular morning, Raihan was not alone. Yesterday, on 26 November 201, he and his classmates in PAUD Ragunan received a coloring lesson. However, this coloring class turned into much more special since their teacher came from Fortune Group. Two Fortuners who were lucky to be selected in this corporate social responsibility program are Kartika Putri (account executive at Activator) and Chandra Marsono (social media director at Fortune Digital).
\n\"\"<\/a>After the success of storytelling class on last October, this time, Fortune CSR program presents a coloring class themed \u2018transportation\u2019. Located in Sanggar Fortune, Meeting Hall Ragunan RT 011\/RW, the class was divided into two. Class A if for children age 2-3 years, while Class B is filled with 4-years-old children. They colored various means of transportation, such as cars, trains, boats, and airplanes as well.
\nWhen they were being shown the pictures, the children immediately turned out to be very enthusiastic. They scrambled to pick out their favorite picture. “I like airplane. When I grow up, I want to buy an airplane so that I can often go home,” said Raihan whose hometown is in Bangka.
\nSarwadi as the head of PAUD Ragunan revealed that the coloring class held by Fortune Group is able to build up the spirit of the children, especially, in studying the shape and the color, as well as introducing various transportations to them. “Usually, the size of coloring worksheets that we give to the children is small. The initiative taken by Fortune to provide a large drawing paper and with an attractive drawing of various means of transportation seems to be able to captivate their hearts. They seem very excited when coloring,” said Sarwadi.
\n\"\"<\/a>This middle-aged woman also stated that this coloring class is not the first time it is being held at PAUD Ragunan. However, on that day, almost all the children attended the class. There was only nine students that were absent from a total of 40 children. “In fact, they are usually reluctant to go to school. Apparently, the information we had spread on the previous day, that there will be guests coming from Fortune, has aroused their spirit,” said Sarwadi. “Thank you very much for your attention to us, Fortune. Under the guidance of Fortune, hopefully our PAUD can progress further in the future,” she concluded.
\nChandra who became the teacher in Class B was so happy. For him, this is a kind of refreshment in the midst of his busy life. “Basically, I do live kids. In the class, I deliberately let them be creative. Even when they colored the car window in green, it is up to them. I do not want to ruin their imagination,” he said. “Being able to be with them is such a consolation for me,” said Chandra who immediately attended the meeting right after he had finished teaching.
\n\"\"<\/a>Tika, a friendly greeting for Kartika Putri, was also enthusiastic. For Tika, doing coloring with the children at PAUD Ragunan is a new experience that is very enjoyable. “Some of these kids have not even mastered the colors. So, I had a bit of trouble. Moreover, their mother had taught them the name of the colors wrongly. They called purple with orange. The teaching became more difficult,” she said. “But seeing them screaming with joy when they were given a good mark for their picture, it feels really good,” Tika concluded.
\nThe coloring class was ended with the children singing \u2018Kereta Api\u2019 circling Chandra and, then, followed by \u2018Terima Kasih Guru\u2019.
