\n\"paud<\/a>A proud achievement was made by Sanggar Fortune Nursery School. Being in the foster program of Fortune Group Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for one year, Fortune Nursery School directly won four trophies in Gebyar PAUD \/ Sport and Art Competition organized by the Association of Teachers and Education Personnel of Nursery Schools in Indonesia (Himpaudi) South Jakarta, on March 4, 2013. This is the first achievement of Fortune Nursery School since its founding in 2012!
\nLocated in the Art Market Ancol, North Jakarta, Fortune Nursery School took home three trophies namely second winner in Picture Matching to the Couple, fourth winner in Flag Moving to the number, fourth winner in ball grouping to the color. The games were all played in teams of six. One more award was achieved in Coloring Pictures Nomination.
\nSanggar Fortune gained no achievement only in the art category for Prayer Demonstration and Singing in choir competition because no participant was sent. “Each participant may only join one competition, not in concurrent contest. As the number of Fortune Nursery School students is limited, we couldn\u2019t enroll in all competitions, “said Iik Monigar, one of the teachers who accompanied the participants.
\nIik admitted, the students did not do a lot of preparation though teaching team had given time to practice. During the school process on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, for one hour, Iik and other teachers accompanied the children to practice for the competition based on the technical rules given by Himpaudi. Not only that, the teaching team even equipped children with homework of picture matching to the couple.
\nNevertheless, the children did not take advantage of the training session. When asked to practice running for moving flag or grouping ball, they walked instead. Therefore, the teaching team departed without any target. “Our intention was just for the kids to get the experience. If they win, it’s just a bonus, “said Iik.
\nIn fact, because of the anxiety not to win anything, the teaching team has made participation trophies for all participants. “We took the initiative to give the award to all the participants, as the anticipation if then they lost. So that they won\u2019t weep and keep the spirit to join the next competition, “said Iik, then laughed.
\n\"paud<\/a>Either pumped by their mothers’ cheering or ignited by the other participants’ spirit, in fact the children of Fortune Nursery School strove hard in the event venue. They would run so speedily that finally made it to be the runner-up! “I was surprised as well as appreciating the students because those joining the runner-up team are mostly very reserved in the classroom. There is a student who cries easily, even the one who cannot hold a pencil because the fine motor nerve is not good,” said Iik proudly. “I got moved. I could not believe that it was really they who raced,” Iik continued while smiling.
\nIt was not only the teaching team who were happy. Mothers were very proud as well since the award was the first achievement for their children. In fact, they did not prepare any special strategy. What it took was simple: shout loudly so that the children would run even faster. “Besides, I got the children to sleep earlier the night before the competition. They had to close their eyes on bed at 8 PM. On the race venue, I shouted till my voice hoarse that we would make it,” revealed Sri Rejeki, mother of Putri Aulia, one of the team members who became the runner-up. “To make the children full of spirit, we mothers have to be more encouraged though I did not have the chance to have breakfast because I had to leave early in the morning,” said Sri laughing again.
\nThe principal of Fortune Nursery School Sarwandi also appreciates the children’s achievement. Four trophies from them help to lessen the sorrow because some children were unable to participate due to financial constraint. “There were also students who did not participate due to reluctance to pay the registration fee. Some cancelled to join due to the excuse of transportation fee,” explained Sarwandi. “The children’s victory is incredible. Hopefully henceforward their creativity and achievement will augment. Join more categories of competition. For those who have not participated, hopefully they can join in the next event,” Sarwandi hoped.
