The Most Influential Figure in the National Advertising Industry<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The role of FORU Director, Indra Abidin, in the national creative and advertising industry is recognized one more time. One of the leading universities in Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), presented the title of Ganesha Widya Jasa Adiutama to Indra on Wednesday (3\/7). The award was given in ITB Open Session commemorating the 93rd year of higher education of engineering in Indonesia held in the ITB West Hall.\u00a0 ITB regarded Indra as a figure who is most worthy of the title because of his enormous role in advancing the visual communication design and advertising in Indonesia. For Fortuners (employees), this is truly a remarkable achievement!<\/p>\n

Only few Indonesian important figures are deemed worthy and qualified to receive the Ganesha award. This year, ITB presented four titles, namely Ganesa Praja Manggala Bakti Adiutama, Ganesa Wirya Jasa Adiutama, Ganesa Widya Jasa Adiutama, and Ganesa Wirya Jasa Utama to 14 influential community leaders. The titles were awarded to those regarded as making strong contributions to develop science, technology, and art (IPTEKS) in Indonesia.<\/p>\n

“We are very grateful to receive this award which serves as a tribute of PT Fortune Indonesia Tbk for the development of creative and advertising industry in Indonesia.\u00a0 This award is a trigger for us to participate more actively in developing and promoting the industry and the human resources involved in it for the sake of a prosperous society, “said Indra who was represented by FORU Corporate Secretary, Indira Abidin, in receiving the award.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Indra’s services in Indonesian advertising industry are beyond doubt.\u00a0 Having graduated from ITB in 1973 as a Bachelor of Graphic Design, Indra occupied a strategic position in the Indonesian Association of Advertising Agencies (P3I) in 1976 as Secretary-General. In this organization, he made up a glittering career. Three years later, Indra was able to serve as a vice-president.\u00a0 Because of his natural talent and expertise in cultivating creativity, it did not take long for Indra to occupy the position of leadership.\u00a0 In 1981 to 1984, Indra was designated to act as P3I Chairman.<\/p>\n

In the worldwide advertising, his achievements are also incredible. Indra is one of the founding figures of the Asian Federation of Advertising Association (AFAA). In fact, he achieved the Outstanding Award Recognition for Service from Indonesian Advertising Agencies Association in 2005.\u00a0 The international community increasingly recognized his role by appointing him as Chairman – World President of International Advertising Association (IAA) in 2008 to 2010.\u00a0 “The remarkable creative potential in our country should be continously introduced to the world in order to raise the dignity of the nation,” said Indra.<\/p>\n

In the open session where Karen Agustiawan as President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) gave a scientific oration, ITB also presented awards to a number of agencies in addition to the individual category. Some of them were Harian Umum Pikiran Rakyat, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk., PT Pertamina (Persero), PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., and also PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk.
